A good into to minimalism/downsizing/simplifying. There is an obvious religious perspective but not overwhelming. There are some practical tips, but nothing you haven’t heard before. Perhaps some good views on how less stuff helps you find your true passions and other lifestyle benefits.
Low 3. I listened to this as an audiobook after following the author on Facebook; he regularly posts short pieces on minimalism that I’ve enjoyed. I didn’t think anything here was groundbreaking, but there were some useful tips and reminders in here. The author definitely comes at minimalism from a religious/Christian angle that I wasn’t expecting given the subject matter, and parts of the book (particularly the end) were too preachy for my taste.
I have been a follower of Josh's blog for a while, so I decided to pick up his book. Although it had pretty much the same advice from the blog, I enjoyed the read.

Parts of this book were interesting and refreshing looks at things--specifically, I liked the exploration of how the generation you were born into influences how you approach material goods. Other parts were repetitive and a bit preachy. I appreciate that he was upfront about his inclusion of faith in his book, and I didn't find the stories too overbearing, but it just wasn't to my taste.
Ironically, I think my biggest issue was that I feel like the 200+ page book could have been whittled down to about 150 pages with the same effect. Odd comment for a book about minimalism huh?

This my second and last reading. It was better the first time. I enjoyed Clutterfree with Kids more. It was more profound.
