I enjoyed the twists but there was far too many sex scenes for a thriller and I didn’t connect to the characters at all. It just felt a little flat is all. However, it was extremely easy to get through and I found that every time I picked it up I struggled to put it down!

Well fuck me what a creepy book.
When I first started reading I was disappointed by the quality of the writing but once we got to Verity's manuscript I was hooked. When I first saw that we were going to get a sample of writing from an author who had been described as excellent I was worried that Hoover wouldn't be able to meet the brief, but somehow the parts written by 'Verity' were far better written and more compelling than the rest of the book and I was frustrated every time there was a break from them.
As we got further through the book, and I just knew Verity was going to appear like a jump scare at some point, I was on edge the whole time. If this was made into a film I don't think I would be brave enough to watch it. As it is, I've read it alone in my house late at night and do feel quite freaked out. I will need to read something else light-hearted before I go to bed.
The letter was a twist that I absolutely didn't see coming and I was horrified by the bonus chapter and suddenly not being able to trust Jeremy at all. Horrible horrible horrible but in a good way.
This book was so compelling that I read it in one sitting, but I have knocked off a star because I didn't exactly enjoy my experience of reading it.
This is was my first Colleen Hoover book and absolutely not what I was expected after hearing her described as a Romance author (although to be fair there are quite a lot of explicit sex scenes) as this is absolutely not a romance, as least in the traditional sense. I would be intrigued to read more by her, and I think I will add It Ends With Us to my TBR.

WHAT?!
OMG WHAT?!
I think this is the first time I've read a book like this, but I loved it! So crazy, so many twists, and I'm still left going "WHAT?!?!?!?!"
I can't even begin to describe this book for fear of giving spoilers, but oh my goodness finally a booktok recommendation that did not disappoint! Check trigger warnings, and then if you feel okay, READ IT!

As you can see by the dates read, this is definitely written in a compelling way. I had to know what happened next, so I’ve been on my couch all day. I was really hoping to love this one since it’s so hyped up everywhere I turn. But ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

1) The sex scenes are repetitive and not even particularly well-written. At least they’re not purple prose, but yeesh.
2) There is one HUGE plot hole that makes everything fall apart.
3) The characters do not feel real or developed. I didn’t care about anything that was happening to them because they’re so two-dimensional. Why does Lowen love Jeremy so much??? He is BORING!!!!! And vis versa!!!!!
4) WHY DOES IT TAKE HER SO LONG TO READ THE MANUSCRIPT??? Each chapter is so short! She could have whipped through it in a day and showed it to Jeremy immediately. It’s padded out for plot reasons.
5) The ending feels like a complete and utter cop-out and/or the author ran out of steam and couldn’t decide what to do.

Content warning: MASSIVE amounts of child abuse.

A good book.
Followed the synopsis,  quality written, page turner, lovable characters.

It was dark with psychotic characters and the best part was 'open ended'  conclusion
[TMI - Low's first book was also Open Ended 🙂]

This one ahh, I didn't cry but it sure was disturbing for majority of the time I was a statue reading this.

I sensed the cheating miles ago it was obvious they were going to get laid but the climax was definitely who would be the ultimate antagonistic- ultimate because none of them were (insert a non judgemental word for not-assholes). All of them had blood on their hands *pun intended* so it's on us, who do we claim as the badass bitch and simply a bitch.
Overall it was good 'cause it delivered exactly what it promised, abundant dark plot with sickening actions.

Would not recommend you to go in blind, please check the trigger warnings.
