I enjoyed this one more than the first. Hoping the 3rd book continues this trend.

Any time I try to come back to this, I can’t bring myself to. It’s exhausting and not in a good way.

before the interlude - probably like a 3.5-3.75

but the interlude was like the switch, it was so ducking intense and i was gobbling that shit up

messy relationships, messy characters with messy emotions, dynamics and tension between power

^^ the above was written at like 3:30am immediately after i finished my read, here are some more clearer thoughts

i feel like i reaally wanted to know what was happening, so kinda skimmed over the discussions the characters had about power, space, time and stuff, perhaps during a rr i can better appreciate the writing and thoughts

but i feel like this is read that just kinda suck u into their universe which speaks volumes about the author cuz it felt so real!!

let’s do a character tier ranking:
nico/tristan > libby > gideon/parisa> callum > reina

so many reviews were hyped about callum+reina’s pairing but nico+tristan’s appealed to me much more and i’m excited to see how tristan’s powers play out in the next book (though am def gonna take a break cuz it’s just too dense and heavy HAHAH) and im curious as to what callum has planned out as well

oh i completely forgot about dalton hahaha he is giving me bad bad vibes at the end of the book like parisa run girl run (also the scene immediately after interlude w/ parisa and nico was just 😗 chefs kiss!!!)

justice for nicolibby pls HAHA excited to start the next boooook
