Wow. Just...so. Freaking. Good. If you’re in the mood to feel all of the feelings...read it. I could not put it down. I don’t think I could do a review justice without giving spoilers so I won’t. But. Sometimes I daydream that I could write a novel...then I read a book like this and realize that I could never..at least not so well and never as a debut..and along with all of the feelings from the novel..I feel a bit melancholy and more than a bit excited to tell everyone I know to read this book. And that is the best way to feel after a book.

I don't think I can give this book less than five stars, even if it had its flaws. Because it made me feel and it made me fear.

This is a book that had me confused quite a bit. I gave it 4 stars but I’m thinking it’s between 3.5/4. The writing style reminded me of Harper Collins to kill a mocking bird and the narration screamed of scout to me. So for that reason I loved it. At the same time I remember being 200 pages in and still questioning what I was suppose to be reading about. At the end the author stole my heart and took me on a ride. I never would have picked this up normally but I did because it was a book club pick. In the end I’ll say I’m glad I did but it got to a point where I just wanted it to end, there were some parts that droned on and I was ready for the book to be done. Still it wasn’t an average book so it deserves more than a solid 3 stars but I’m not sure it’s a full 4. I’m still a bit tangled with how I feel about this book. I may have to came back and edit my review.
