Fuck it, 5 stars. This book is cute as hell and I want it in my library. Cindy? Amazing. Henry? A heartthrob. A plus-sized lead with an actual personality, as opposed to her entire character revolving around being plus-sized? Yes please. Realistic depiction of grief? Beautiful and somehow uplifting. The pessimistic part of myself is saying "you read 75 books in 2021 and only gave 6 5-star reviews. And you're starting 2022 by giving 5 stars to the first romance novel you read?" Yeah. I am. Literally the only thing I'm unhappy with rn is that the book wasn't longer.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a fairly quick read once I say down and devoted a little time to it and it was a lovely HEA with just enough tension to keep the plot moving. Sometimes I can't stand tension for tensions sake in books.

The characters felt real and the author didn't shy away from tougher topics (or really any of the real-life crap that we all have to deal with that isn't "pretty").

I'll likely read again in the future.
