I'm kind of over the "reunited group of unlikable characters with secrets" thing BUT I do love Harbinder and the writing.

(3.5) Unfortunately this installment was way too light on DI Kaur, especially for the third book in a series named after her. Mostly she tried not to lust after her new roommate.
The mystery had me fooled for sure, though, and while I didn't really like any of the characters, they were compelling enough to keep me reading.

Harbinder has left the nest and moved to London.
Transparency - I won this copy of the book. I entered the contest because I'd already read the first two books in the series.
This is my favorite of the series so far. I've enjoyed this series but this book seems more mature, in regard to writing and depth of characters.
While this book isn't perfect, I found myself not wanting to put it down. It was entertaining to read. If I had 5 minutes to spare before leaving for work, I'd find myself debating if that was enough time to finish a chapter.
Each chapter was through the eyes of some of the well-developed characters. There weren't too many narrative switches, which can be overwhelming and reduce the pleasure of the story.
I can't wait for the next Harbinder book.

Not a bad read. At first wasn’t sure if this book was a comedy or a serious attempt at a crime novel.

I loved this book! I could not put it down. The characters were so rich and interesting, from the cops to the suspects. I love Harbinder anyway, but her internal dialogue in this book was fabulous. I would love to return to Harbinder’s London team and see how this story impacts them going forward.
