A fast-paced and easy read. It almost reads as advice articles and can feel repetitive. But basically, make things. Whether you're good at it or not, make stuff. Don't be afraid of the outcome because it doesn't matter.
Very inspiring read! It made me realise that it's not too late to follow my dreams and that success does not have to equate with financial success. Just be happy and do what makes you happy.
Very interesting book, has definitely made me think differently about creativity and how to go about leading a creative life.

I’m not usually one for anything in the self help range to be honest. I tend to find them a bit preachy often, and gave up on the whole genre in high school.
However, my favourite aunt recommended this to me and since I love several of Liz Gilbert’s other books I figured I’d give it a go. I’m so glad I did!
It was funny and insightful, and a wonderful kick in the pants to let go of some fears I’d been holding onto in creativity. I’d been working through many things Liz talks about already, hence my aunt’s recommendation. Reading it felt a little like showing the scared parts of myself its okay, like see??? See??? You can let go of fear and create joyfully, the options are not byronic tortured (which I didn’t want) or not creating at all (also did not want haha!).
If you’re feeling a little stagnant creatively I say give it a read, it may just help you unstick yourself! But I also think it’s delightful in general and if you like Liz Gilbert’s voice in writing in general its well worth a nosy ^-^
