Honestly? I'm surprised I liked this, since I disagree with her spiritual take on creativity and I'm just not that into inspirational reads. But it was charming, actually. It was a kind book, which we all need sometimes.
This author has some interesting (weird) beliefs. I can't get with it. I was hoping to get more out of this book.

Big Magic is a passionate and uplifting exploration of creativity. Gilbert encourages readers to live a life full of creativity, free from the constraints of fear and perfectionism. With her warm and relatable writing style, she challenges the idea that creativity is reserved for "special" people, making it clear that everyone has the capacity for creative living.
What I loved about this book is its emphasis on curiosity over fear. Gilbert’s advice is practical yet liberating, offering a refreshing perspective on how to approach creative pursuits—not as a means to an end, but as a joyful, ongoing process.
Whether you’re an artist, writer, or just someone looking to bring more creativity into your life, this book is a motivating and inspiring read that will encourage you to take risks and follow your passions.

Great stories bracketed with a little hippie garbage that I either scoffed at or embraced.
