bruh why did it take half the book to get to the part from house of dragon lmao i just wanted to spoil the show for myself. that mushroom guy is insanely annoying glad that pest isn’t in the show. why did every paragraph say ‘but let’s leave it at that and go back to xxAC?’ bruh just finish the timeline we are at instead of going back and forth. the last 100 pages were like crawling to me and felt sooo boring, i skim read the last 50 pages. the only good part was aegon at the beginning, and the greens vs blacks.

This at first captivating fictional history slowly revelled itself to be a convenient backdrop to write of horrors happening to women and describe children as blushing brides ready to be devoured, and babies who surely had a virile fate ahead of them due to how intensely they fed from their wetnurses' bossoms. I stayed with it for as long as I could but the voyeuristic and somewhat fetishistic suffering soon outweighed the fun of political intrigue and dragon battles.

I think reading this through Audiobook made things confusing, and I got bored. George R R Martin's world building is phenomenal, but didn't care for this book. Continuing with the Game of Throned series though.
