It was fascinating to learn the history of the Targaryens and gain some insight into what is playing out in the "present" in the series. It is a proud and violent lineage.

Loved the format of a “birds eye view” of the whole situation. After the “Dance of Dragons” i lost a little of the built momentum and it fizzle out a little with the occasional crackle here and there. That being said I really enjoyed the experience of reading it.
