"Maybe they had not asked for too much. Maybe they would get everything they wanted." because they should get everything they want. if vanessa and joan were alive today they would be in their late 70s. they would've been able to be legally married in their late 60s. they just wanted "the right to exist and to love and be proud and happy. the right to live" and ktl wants to take that away from them. #cancelkatielynn(sometimesgrace)beck.

this was good but not my fav TJR book. it ended up leaning more romance than “woman navigating NASA” which was fine, but the romance felt a little insta-love and repetitive for me. I really liked Joan and Frances (and loved to hate Barb). the 1984 timeline with the shuttle mission was tense, and my favorite part of the book. I think this could have gotten up to a 4 star read with a well rounded epilogue, I would have loved a bit more to the ending - there’s so much “what’s next?” to the ending that I would have loved to see
