Fantastic book - lived up to the hype and excitement. A perfect mix of an interesting space action and emotional relationship drama. Really gave vibes of the tv show For All of Mankind, which I loved, so I raced through this one.

Loved the fact that it was a character point that Joan could read people so well, which allowed a bit of a window into other characters too. Although felt we didn’t get quite enough into Barbara’s story towards the end

Ending was thrilling and satisfying in that order. Ending was fairly abrupt, but ultimately left you wanting more which is a good thing.

Oh, the feels!!
What a fantastic story!!
It contained love, smart women, space exploration, motherhood, and so much heart!
Taylor Jenkins Reid is so masterful at pulling you in with her stories and I was pulled in immediately.
I enjoyed the way the story moved in the timeline between past and present.
Bravo, Taylor!

4.5 stars - I love how TJR is able to encapsulate you so completely in the world of the characters (which in this book is NASA). It feels so real and educational at the same time. It did lose that a bit in the middle and became much more largely focused on the romance, but I didn’t mind that at all and really enjoyed that aspect!

I also just think that TJR books make me think so much. There’s so many insightful quotes just squeezed in there that take my breath away. I think due to the theme of the book, this one especially had so many lovely sentiments about humanity that I just loved!!
