TJR is such a talented writer and phenomenal story teller, so I ate up this book. However, most of the characters were pretty flat to me (either Good or Bad) and there wasn’t really enough conflict to drive the plot. Loved the general concept, but wanted more in the execution.

WOW. atmosphere is special. my first five star book of 2025!! you all know alyssa does not give 5-star books easily. i loved the split timeline, the development of these characters pulls your heart apart, and all you want to do is keep reading and hope it all works out in the end. except, you sort of know how it works out from the start. let’s go lesbians!
