I found every character to be generally pretty unlikable. But the writing is so astonishingly good I could hardly put the book down. Not sure what it is about Rooney’s writing, but it feels so authentic. Pretty amazing

I really liked beautiful world but thought this was a bit flat - it’s deliberate but the prose being so blank is boring to read and I didn’t find the characters that relatable - or that interesting in their strangeness. But then I not really who she’s writing for
