It’s horrible, it’s amazing. I hate it, I’m obsessed. I have zero interest in most sports, I am DIYing a Palmetto State Jersey. My Lock Screen is the Foxes’ logo. I made a bookmark with the team’s lineup and logo. I was in a horrible reading slump for almost a month and absolutely devoured this in three days. They’re evil little monsters with mountains of trauma out for their own survival, they’ll self sacrifice and murder for each other without a blink. The team is finally learning to come together just as they’re being torn apart. They don’t give two sh*ts. They care so f*cking much. The odds are so high against them it’s impossible. I can’t wait to watch them destroy everyone at semi-finals.

The content warnings are almost as long as the review, the list keeps going. And yet…

Reading isn’t enough. I need to inject this into my bloodstream.
I cannot recommend this to any of my friends. I am desperate for someone to infect with it. I need someone to go insane with me.

this book is literally insane. i don’t know what i expected after the first one, but i can’t even wrap my head around this. i liked it better than the first book though, maybe because i was already used to the characters. still needs every content warning ever, but i’m already opening book three.

This is the second book I’ve read this year with this title. Coincidence? I think not.

He was their family. They were his. They were worth every cut and bruise and scream.

this series continues to be a tumultuous ride. i love the exy game scenes, i wish there were more. definitely some problematic things. even more violence lingering in every corner.

watching neil finding his place with the foxes is so worth it though. andrew has grown on me so much, i see why he's such a fan favorite.

and with that, the slowest of burns ever that has me giggling and kicking my legs at the barest hint of what's to come:
"Speaking of unpredictable assholes, when did that happen?"
"When did what?" Neil asked.
Wymack eyed him. "Forget it."

i love these clueless dummies.

v appreciate that the other characters seemed to have joined in at yelling “i know what you are” at andrew and neil at every given opportunity
