As my husband says, the plot is so convoluted that it's hard to keep track of what's important. The ending that describes what happened to everyone with little summaries doesn't help me much because usually that character was so minimal in the plot I've totally forgotten what they did or who they were.
But we are one book away from finishing the series, so we'll just plug along.

Great ending of drawn out story lines
This was my favorite book since the first book in the series. All the lingering story lines have finally found a conclusion. The line between Magyk and Alchemie has reached a sense of rest, family problems have worked themselves out and most of all Septimus had grown into a more mature teenager.

Such a clever and delightful series. The characters are engaging, the plots are interesting, what more could you ask for?
