4 Maple Leaf Review of Forever Golden (Kings of Cypress Prep 3) by Rachel Jonas and Nikki Throne.
West and Blue are finally beginning to enjoy being together when Vin, West's dad, decides he doesn't want them together anymore. Vin threatens Blue to break West or pay the consequences. As things get darker around Cypress Pointe, West and Blue lean on their trusted friends to help them enact the perfect plan to bring down Vin once and for all.
West and Blue have gone through so much to finally be together and of course, more secrets and heartache need to be revealed before they can finally be together. I liked how fiercely West wanted to protect and make sure Blue was safe. I was happy to see West and Ricky finally start working together instead of against each other for the sake of Blue.
I did enjoy the whole trilogy but felt it probably could have been a duet as it seemed like the story started to drag in the middle of this one. The fact that we still did not find out who Pandora is was kind of a letdown.
Forever Golden did a good job of wrapping up West and Blue's story and I am looking forward to West's brother's stories.
Audio... Neill Thorne, Lessa Lamb, and Sarah Puckett all did a good job bringing the story and characters to life.
Forever Golden is a dark, high school, romantic suspense that is told in the first-person point of view of West and Blue with views from Pandora and Ricky.

This was a really solid ending to a really solid series. I love that while we have so much mystery going on, we still get relationship development and insight into the secondary characters that will eventually star in their own books. The CW-style drama of this series is what makes this enjoyable. You expect it, but it finds a way to shock you either way.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and the series.
However, the ending to this book/series felt so rushed. I really wanted to see a bit more of action I think.
Also I wasn’t overall impressed with the character development.
I also think the transition from scene to scene was a little awkward.

Good god, this series has had me in its grasp for a little too long if you ask me.

The relationships that are developed within this book are outstanding.
I am impressed with the way that this series grabs you from the first book and throws you into the deep end along with everyone else at Cypress Prep.
This series was just the right amount of romance but also mystery. I can't wait to finish out the last three books within this series.

In love with West and Blue
I’m so sad that their story is over. While I’m sure we will see West and Blue in the other books, I’ll miss their story.
I’ll be honest, though, at first, I wanted to see Blue with Ricky. I’m sorta in love with him and I know he has a book coming out. (Where we also learn who Pandora is).
This was a great story with some twists, a lot of spice, and love. All the books have both Blue’s and West’s points of view, and I loved some of their inner monologue. I laughed more than a few times.
The next book is Dane’s and Joss’s story, and while I’m excited, I didn’t love that some of that was forced in this book.
I’m still hoping that down the line we see an engagement between Blue and West.

I'm addicted to this series, the bully trope is so good. Blue and West's story was fantastic. I liked the multiple POVs, the story got me and I truly got immersed in the story while hearing the audiobook narrated by Lessa Lamb, Neill Thorne, and Sarah Puckett, they certainly gave life to the characters. It's absolutely a must-hear or read if you like these tropes. The story is fast-paced, you won't get a minute to slow down, which is quite good.

The End has arrived and the wait was so worth it! Oh how the author wraps up the story is so good. So so good! I enjoyed the plot and was happy I kept reading however, I will say that I was frustrated with Blue and West's relationship. I am still not quiet in love with them and one of them is constantly ready to run away to try and save the other one...It's ok but meh. Honestly, I stayed around to read because there was another book in the series that I wanted to read and I wanted to read if Vin ever got any karma. **Spoiler** He did and I am happy.
World Building: It's set in the same city. It was ok but honestly, the setting didn't make or take away from the story.
Characters: 4 out of 5, I do like most of the other characters and I am eager to read their story after this.
Plot: 4 out of 5; Heck yeah! That ending with Vin...AWESOME
Emotional Impact: 4 out of 5; I was on edge if they were going to be able to pull it off. I enjoyed the emotions that the author was able to bring out as I read.
Need in library: meh, maybe but not rushing to add to my cart. Reread list: Possibly but honestly I am not sure...
Fast read and I enjoyed it. Off to the next book!
