I’m all for a high school bully romance book. Books 1-3 are about the same cops, West and Blue. But it was too long. It really could been figured out in 2 books.

for me

I didn’t like this series. It felt like it when on wayyyy too long. I’m a fast reader and it took me months to get the will to finish this book. I will admit I’ve recently discovered/changed where I don’t like high school romances. But besides that this series was too long. Each book was basically the same thing until the end of this book. I’m not a dnf person but I would have for this series most likely. The whole pandora thing was cool but also not. It was super cringey at times especially because it is literally just a rip off of gossip girl. Like she’s literally gossip girl but named pandora. West was cute after they got together. I will admit that west and blue together are literally so cute and I love how much he loves her. It this series was just made into one book I would probably rate it higher. But it isn’t and I can’t rate it higher. There were too many points that were unnecessary. Vin getting taken down was kind of anticlimactic and for a 3 book drawn out series it was like nothing. We also never found out who pandora is unless that’s in the bonus context I haven’t read that yet so. I didn’t like how it seem like no matter what west and blue were just always having sex. Like everytime something happens sex. I’ll admit it could just be showing how some people connect and cope but I just didn’t like it at times. It seem to happen right after another. Overall it truly was just drawn out and I didn’t i it. The characters are great and the plot is good until it isn’t which is most of the time. I liked like 20% of the book. Characters were great but I can’t overlook the plot. I wouldn’t recommend personally as I need both. 2/5

the way this series just fell off for me...
sigh

I loved the first book it was so interesting with the gossip girl type feel to the book but as the series continued the plot just seemed so far-fetched for a bunch of teenagers. i know it's fiction but there has to be some semblance of normality for the readers to believe/relate to right?

i just felt like this book had so many filler/mundane moments, focus on other characters, and not enough romance??? most of the book involved blue and west trying to get west's dad to leave them alone but the whole thing just dragged on and on, which meant their actual relationship wasn't developed at all and everything that unfolded ended up being anti-climactic because i was just bored.

west's personality seemed to do a 180. authors if your selling your H as this cocky, bully/asshole don't just turn him into a fucking simp 2 seconds later. they can still be cocky/assholey whilst loving the heroine? the sappy dialogue becomes cheesy and in this case, their chemistry just vanished. I'm also not interested in west's brothers enough to read their books next :/

One of the few audiobook series that actually kept my attention to the very end.

Blue and west are more in danger as ever. Scarlett has also been threatened. Blue and west must make a decision that pulls them apart just as things were getting great between them. By the end, everyone works together to pull down west’s dad, and we learn of his involvement in hunter’s arrest.

—I’m hoping we get scarlet’s story and lindon’s (one of the cousins from Louisiana and lead singer of the band) story.

West and Blue...can I just bask in their love for a while. What an amazing, culminating story for these two and the beginning for so many more in this golden world.

In Forever Golden a lot of questions finally get answered, the most important being evil Vin, and the door opens to more which should get answered as this series continues with the other Golden boys #TeamGolden.

Under a strict timeline, West and Blue bring drama and suspense as they track down answers to bring down Vin before it's too late. With the help of their family and friends they figure out who to trust and who has the chances to rip them apart. It isn't easy when the city is corrupt, but the Golden Team has held strong and I love how they all work together.

My favorite part in the whole book was when everyone took a trip down to Louisiana to visit the boys grandfather and their cousins. My secret wish is that books are written for everyone because all five cousins were delectable and full of hell raising fun. The future of this world has so much possibility and I want it yesterday!

I love how the entire series has evolved from a dark, bully book where Blue didn't back down from West being the ultimate jerk to now where their love is so strong they can hardly be without the other for more than a few minutes. It is heart melty and fuzzy feelings and everything I love about bad boys who fall hard for the right girl. I'm so here for everything that is coming from the rest of the Golden boys and what is still to come for the city that is still broken.

dark

A bit of a messy wrap-up with a few holes, but I still enjoyed West and Blue’s story. The way Blue tells West the details of that one interaction is so dang satisfying!!! It grates on me when miscommunication causes chapters of distance and unnecessary angst. It would have been nice if there were more scenes with West’s grandpa, but I am hopeful that will happen in one of the brother’s books. I was absolutely living for the friendship between West and Ricky!

If you enjoy bully romances, this series is entertaining. Flaws aside, I’d still recommend it.

🎙️ The audiobooks are the way to go—solid performances by the voice actors.

Love conquers all

Blue and West really have to go through hell in order to finally be able to be together. Vin Golden doesn't want a girl from the wrong side of the tracks to sully the Golden name, so he has other plans for her and her sister Scar. This book was intense and dealt with some heavy subjects for a high school series. But it all came together in the end.

Forever Golden
Kings of Cypress Prep bk 3
by Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne
Narrated by Lessa Lamb, Neill Thorne, and Sarah Puckett

Finally! Much needed closure for this series. Though we don't find out who Pandora is, we get a good glimpse in her inner workings. She is not only full of the latest gossip, but her Intel and discretion is key to the series! West and Blue are still going strong, but their love does not keep those around them safe. With a threat from Vin that has Blue spooked, action is taken. From the triplets' grandparents to Blue's home with her stepdad, we are treated to a journey of scandal, deception and darkness. Will the circle of friends be able to keep each other safe? It's quite the story and I love how it all gels together. It truly shows how bonding together and finding who is true can bring you light and happiness. I can't wait to see where the Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne take us next!

Lessa Lamb, Neill Thorne and Sarah Puckett finish out the series with a fabulous narration. These three are this series and I am so glad they remained for them all. It made the story consistent and flow so I knew each character. Starting the next in the series was like coming home to friends, each giving their respective characters all the emotional pull and heart string draws. Puckett pulls it all together with both her Pandora narrations! I loved them!

Well that was a bit of a letdown. Bit rushed through the end and dragging at the start. Breadcrumbs into hunter’s story so hope there is something going on there. And the Pandora reveal kinda sucked.
