Were it possible to give zero stars I would have done so. This book is a mishmosh of heresies and conspiracy theories, poorly written or at least poorly translated. I was interested in it because I had fairly recently spent a good deal of time visiting The Prado. As other reviews posted here have said, just buy a guidebook for the museum and skip this!

"The Master of the Prada" is definitely not for everyone, but I found it absolutely fascinating. The reader accompanies Javier Sierra on a journey through the Prada Museum as he learns the secrets of Renaissance art from a mysterious master. I recommend it for anyone interested in the Renaissance, art history, or the history of Christianity.
