I listened to this on audiobook and most of the way through the lists. I definitely think I will get this book as a resource to use for this coming summer reading for my child. The actual writing in the book is a great list of reading out loud ideas if you don't already have another source. It does read like a blog more than a book. However, it was a great list of books on various subjects and countries with an index for using them for historical time frames studies as well.

I failed to realize, or just forgot, the book was just a book list of other books. Yoi...

Borrowed then bought!

I borrowed this book from the library but when I saw the ebook on sale, I knew I had to jump on it! I’ll be referring to this for years to come to share the world with my family, even if it’s only through books! ❤️

This is a fabulous book for homeschooling moms or any parent really. I’m looking forward to using the titles from the book lists this fall.

A great resource for sourcing global books for children. Easy to use and the book recommendations are logically listed. Very easy to find a book suitable in content and style according to individual children.
I enjoyed reading the first part of the book but did find it a bit too religious. But a great family with huge hearts!
I'd recommend it but more for the second half of the book.

I loved this book. Jamie's heart for helping parents help their children get a global perspective on the world is amazing. I loved hearing her heart for it and her low key, relaxed approach to helping you teach your children about different cultures through the reading of living books. The last half of the book is book lists for each country broken up by ages. We read so many great books and watching my children learn about how little others have and be brought to tears and want to help, this momma's heart was happy and overwhelmed. This is a book we will use over and over again.

I loved this book! It is inspiring and very informative. I really appreciate how it is organized. All the book recommendations are listed by country and appropriate age group. There is also a very concise description for each book which makes it so easy to refer back to for a study of a particular people group or country. I know that it will be a wonderful resource for many years to come during our homeschool journey!

I've been wanting to read this book for a long time and I'm so glad I found it in the kindle deals one day for super cheap. The book lists in this are fantastic and I've already reserved several books from the library while my children are on track break. I wish I had a hard copy to reference whenever I need it, but my kindle copy will be fine. I've been on a read aloud kick lately and she cites several advantages in doing it, not only with littles but with emergent and proficient readers in your house. I'm so excited to check out these titles!
