I cannot believe how much I love this book.
Everything about it is perfect- the prose is beautiful, the characters incredible, the pacing exactly right, and just enough magic to keep it interesting.
I just know I’m going to be thinking about this book for a long time.

This has a very Addie Larue vibe to it. But honestly, I was mostly confused by this book. The magical aspect was not explained well enough and all the travels got kind of boring after a while. The premise sounded really cool, so I had high hopes for this one. A little bit of foul language and several (non-graphic, closed door) adult scenes were another downside for me.

Good and enjoyable, but perhaps carries on for a touch too long. Excellently written.

This book reminded me a lot of "Addie LaRue" by V.E. Schwab. It holds up a mirror to humanity and shows the world in all of its beauty, both in the splendor of grand vistas and the tiny perfection of a beetle caught in amber. It's a journey across the world, yes, but also a journey through one woman's life.
