The premise was interesting but I didn't find the characters compelling. I found myself not caring what happened to her because every smaller story had seemingly no impact on the overall adventure.

This was a lovely and beautiful read, especially if you're in the mood to be reading about traveling, movement, and far off places.
I wish I could take a short walk back in time and never read this book
A magical book that will capture the heart of anyone who likes to wander. I loved the style of writing and all the fascinating travel tales, Aubry is a brilliant and captivating character. The trouble with beautiful, meandering stories, is that they're often hard to finish well - and unfortunately I found the ending unsatisfying compared with the rest of the book. Still worth a read though, one of the most lovely and original stories I've read in a while.
It seamed like the author had so many ideas for what they thought with be a good book with multiple story lines and thought this book would be the perfect way to include them all. It jumped around and I honestly was not a fan. I almost DNF multiple times but I kept wanting it to get better.
