Listening to this as an audiobook has me a bit torn. On the one hand, the narrator gave so much to each new character and really set the different scenes apart.
On the other, I think I got a bit lost in all the shuffling and time jumps. I know the author intended for the specific timeline to be muddled but I think if I’d read a physical copy this would’ve been way less cumbersome. Perhaps I’d have had fewer questions at the end, too.

If you are a non-believer in what people say about reading and traveling this book will persuade you otherwise. Aubrey is a loveable and impressive character with enviable fortitude and spirit that you can’t help rooting for. Her story transports you, not to another world, but to the greatest parts of this one. This book is well-structured and well written and will add a needed sense of adventure and whimsy to your life. I am recommending this novel to my loved ones and hope that others enjoy the novel as much as I did.
