I purchased this in the Shakespeare and Company bookshop in Paris and read it whilst wandering around the streets of Verona! This was my first time reading Romeo and Juliet as I studied Macbeth in school instead. I loved the process of acquiring this copy, reading it slowly, watching the 1996 film, and then actually visiting Juliet’s balcony in Verona! On top of all that I actually really enjoyed reading the play itself, finding writing fairly easy to understand. Such a great story and I’ll be watching more adaptations of it!

This is THE tragedy. Their love was bright and a bit too fast in my opinion. They only got to be together for a few days and then they just... died. Such a shame and also kinda stupid... but it's a classic for a reason!
