emotional hopeful sad fast-paced

loved it(first play I read by Shakespeare)

Well, that escalated quickly

go to hell, william.

I don’t want to hear the words “iambic pentameter” ever again. (1.5 stars because the og 1968 movie is good lol)

Shakespeare is underrated. A lot of people don't like him because they were required to read him in school. I was required, but his writing is beautiful and heartbreaking as well. This book/play is one of my favorites

read this version recently

I enjoy Shakespeare just for the beauty of the writing and the complexity of the relationships.

I read this in school and didn’t even think to add this here! I actually enjoyed this. All of my friends were so bored, but I thought it was very interesting. The one thing I don’t understand is how this is considered “peak romance,” like this is not okay! But not bad at all, and considering it’s Shakespeare it isn’t terribly hard to read.
