King of Greed

I’m giving it a four only bc I’d give it a 3.5 that’s not including the fact this book was amazing written, I just had a hard time with the divorce trope, but I loved how there was 10 years of backstory for us to learn about!!! I’m just a big advocate for them men to basically worship the women, but it was still good!

I really enjoyed this story!! I loved the characters and their development but since I’m 23 and more single than a pringle their struggles weren’t very relatable to me. Don’t get me wrong it was a fantastic book but I probably won’t pick it up again just because of the lack of relatability compared to the other books in this series.

I genuinely enjoy reading this one. Marriage in crisis and second chance romance you will always be famous! The longingness, the pining, and the angst that comes with it is just Shakespearan!

We love a man who spent almost the entire book groveling and being miserable without her, we love to see it. I felt so much for his character, he knows what it feels like to have nothing, and so he does everything he can never to experience that, and to not let her experience that with him. Dom has a reason for having that fear, after all, he came from nothing. It's understandable how he felt the way he did, to accumulate more to attain that essence of 'security' for him and FOR HER, to the point he became greedy.

Although his back story is sad, she also did not deserve what she went through in their marriage. No woman should ever experience being the afterthought in a way. Ale was also reasonable for feeling the way she felt. Both are, honestly speaking. Communication is definitely what they were missing in their marriage before. Despite all of it, I love how she made him work for it, and he spent each chapter being miserable and making up for the moments he lost. A win.

This is my third book from hers, and wanted to give her stories a chance again with no expectations. I must say I'm glad I did, and so far this is my favorite book of hers, Ana Huang improved a lot. I love that for her! I genuinely can't wait to read her upcoming books.

I love how much Dominic changed and how real and vulnerable Alessandra was- STRONG, but vulnerable. This is my favorite so far.

I liked the book. I wouldnt say its my favourite in the series. I think there could have been more grovelling back and fourth between the couple to build the tension abit more.
I loved seeing more of the other couples in this book though since its an interlinked series.
