A beautiful family saga full of love, hate, drama, and history.
Do not be indifferent to politics, because politics does affect your life whether you like it or not. People are the power and law is for people. Law can destroy, law can save.

I am now a 1/4 of the way through this book and am enjoying it. The cast of characters is dense, and I have found myself having to refer back to previous pages to connect all of the dots. The writing is rich (and not too dense) mingling magic with social justice with interpersonal drama. The quircky characters make any Wes Anderson movie a pale comparison.
