My first time reading a jujutsu kaisen manga after watching the anime, I’m surprised how much the characterdesigns differ, but I really enjoyed it!

definitely my favorite volume so far. after hearing that Yuta would be making a return in the manga, i knew i finally had to give in and read the prequel. i heard Yuta was actually supposed to be the original main character of the franchise and i don't get why the author didn't just go for that decision. while Itadori is an unconventional protagonist in certain respects, there's a limited scope that comes with such a character. his inherent mental strength curtails opportunities for character arcs and emotional growth. on the other hand, Yuta would've been a perfect character to follow, going from the bottom to the top, providing a more entertaining and resonating experience. there're so many other elements i loved but i don't want to ramble on and burn out of writing because i have quite a few more volumes to go :0.
