Comedy, comedy, comedy. Did I mention funny? I listened to this on cd, replaying multiple parts over and over again as they were the very definition of humor - then I looked up the word humor in the dictionary, and was comforted to find, 'Humor: definition of: read P.G. Wodehouse, 'The Cat-Nappers.'

Read as it was the choice for my book club this month (theme was the 15th book in a series).
Never read any of this author's books before.
It was a quick, easy and engaging story. Harking back to a bygone era and around the "scrapes" Bertie Wooster got himself into, this time whilst having gone to visit his aunt in the country as part of a "fresh air cure". Much hilarity ensues over an unwanted engagement & a cat. His Butler Jeeves coming to his rescue in his own special way.
We did notice as a book club that it was published in the 1970's, we had thought it had been written at or near the time it was based, so we decided it was well written given it had that contemporary feel to it.
We thought it was like a farce, a bit like a "vanilla version" of a "carry on" tale.
