All I can say is I'm terribly glad that I have the next book.

I don't usually use GIFs in my reviews, but I couldn't help it.

Aaron was fantastic!! I'm so happy! And Simber... Oh, Simber! o_O I'm feeling too many emotions to properly emote... But, I'm starting the last one in the series right now.

Either tied with the third one as my favorite, or a close second favorite. Aaron’s character growth in this was my favorite part and I’d been looking forward to seeing that the entire series. The ending of this was INSANE.

I enjoyed this book SO much more than the previous in the series. It felt more mature, and the writing itself felt less young. There were still some moments where I thought "that happened way too quickly. It would've taken much longer realistically" but they didn't take away from my enjoyment.

********************************SPOILERS BELOW*******************************************

I had a major internal crisis when I read parts of the book. For instance, I thought Sean was Megan's YOUNGER brother, so when he kissed Carina I was staring at the page for awhile in shock. I also imagined throughout the first five books that everyone had an American accent. For a couple pages in island of graves I thought "hey it's be cool if Alex had an English accent" but that eventually left.

Then they rescued Kaylee, and mentioned she had an unusual accent. So I started picturing her as Belle from Once Upon A Time, accent and all, because the actress Emilie has a very strong Australian accent. Then it turns out she's American. And I realized that Alex, Aaron, and the Artimé gang did not have the accent I was imagining them with for five books. But it was too late, and Kaylee was Australian.

Also, I was imagining Ishibishi, Ito, and Sato's native language as ancient and long-forgotten, I thought it was a mystical dead language or something. Turns out its Japenese.

This is my favorite book in this series. I'm a sucker for a redemption arc and evidence that clear boundaries and love can change lives.
