On advice, I decided to start this series with this book. I really enjoyed it, obviously I grew fond of Sam, and I cried a lot at the end of the book. But at least I'll be dealing with the traumas alongside Celaena in the next books. 🥲🩷

“Where do men find it in themselves to do such monstrous things”?

There is tons of debate on what order is the best way to read this series. I chose to read this one first and I don’t think I’ll be disappointed. This is a collection of five novellas following the young assassin and her journey. I enjoyed every one of the stories and am very excited to jump into Throne of Glass.

I very highly recommend for anyone interested in fantasy. Plus a very strong female main character. Sign me up always! We’ll see what the rest of the series holds.
