This book provides a profile and information about an incredible woman who profoundly impacted Europe during her life. The devotion and compassion of Florence Nightingale are extraordinary and inspiring. However, the writing of the author hinders this story, as she presents a relatively dry tone throughout the book, which makes the short story seem to drag on aimlessly. Often, matters that are hardly relevant are expanded upon, which draws away from the main focus. The subject matter yields the potential for a good book, however, the execution is barely satisfactory.
Graphic: Injury/Injury detail, Terminal illness, Death, Medical content, Sexism, and War
Moderate: Gore, Violence, and Blood

Enlightening story, though I do wish they went into more detail about the Crimean War.
