4 stars - It was really good

This was an enjoyable werewolf romance. Anna has been on the run for years from her abusive ex-husband. When she rescues a man from a gun-shot wound she finds herself on a road trip with a werewolf. Caleb and Anna have a slow building romance that builds over weeks on the road doing bounties. While the connection between these two is instant, I love that Caleb took the time to get to know Anna and respected her issues. He realizes she is running from a bad situation and doesn’t push her too fast. Caleb was a great partner for Anna, but he is still a protective alpha werewolf so he does fuck things up at one point. I enjoyed seeing Anna’s growth throughout this book. She regains her confidence that her ex destroyed and learns to stand on her own again, even if sometimes she does get a bit reckless. This was just a sweet story that shows finding the right person can change everything. Overall, this was my favorite of this series and I think Amanda Ronconi does a wonderful job narrating.

It was exactly what I needed exactly when I needed it. Probably will forget it all in the next few weeks but man, do I appreciate books like this. Fun, sexy, easy.
