NORA'S KRAKEN was a very spicy read and I liked both Nora and Elias. I especially liked how soft and in love Elias was and the fact that he's ready to worship the ground Nora walks on. Because of Nora's past she's reluctant at first to get involved with someone but Elias lets her take things at her pace and he always respects her boundaries. I do think that Nora goes from fearing Elias to getting involved rather quickly but we'll blame it on the fated mates trope.

In the grand scheme of things this book was great, but I couldn't help but find myself bored once I hit the halfway point. Maybe it was just me, but it was nowhere close to how I felt about this author's first book, DEMON'S BRIDE, which I loved so much. If you like tentacle monsters and gentle MMCs then give this one a try, because it might work better for you.

Favorite Quotes:

Nora’s a siren made to tempt me, to draw me in with the song of her very being. I could be anywhere in any of the seven seas, and she’d be the light that always beckons me back to shore.

“So that’s what I am?” I ask, breathless. “A snack?”

“You’re a whole damn meal, little siren.” Without warning, he reaches down and grabs me, lifting me up and tossing me over his shoulder. “And I’m famished.”

I chortled my way through the ocean puns. It was delightfully fun.

“In all the years I’ve lived,” he murmurs into my hair, “I’ve dreamed of you, Nora.
I didn’t know your face or your name, but I knew you.
And I can’t tell you how glad I am I’ve found you.”

The reason’s it’s not 5 stars is the heat scene is I the bonus epilogue, and it’s basically fade to black. What is this?? They teased it the whole book and then it was basically nothing!!!

A sweet and spicy read! I liked how the relationship between the leads developed; they were a good match as well as strong individuals. I found the world-building enticing and look forward to seeing how the next monster will find their mate!
