What a fun and loveable rom-com. Had me laughing and falling in love with Ford and Gina. I connected instantly with Gina and insecurities. LOVED how real this book was with real people with real insecurities. And the way that Ford and Gina connected was absolutely amazing and they definitely brought out the best in each other.

3.5 stars. I liked this book. It was a cute read and I’ll probably be reading the next book or two because I liked the style.
Gina has a big nose and big eyes. Something she has been bullied for a lot in her life. She’s got a heart of gold and loves fiercely.
Ford is a cop. A good looking one. And a rule follower. He’s the black sheep of the family because he decided to be a cop instead of a firefighter, the first in as many generations. He’s a dumb boy. Good intentions but needs to work on when to tell the truth to lessen the consequences.
These two are perfect for each other. They have really great chemistry and get along really well and seem to just genuinely like each other. However, Ford opportunity to get close to Gina means lying to her. And Gina, being insecure (for good reason) is terrified of getting hurt again. So we can all see where this goes.
It was a really cute read. They fit well together. I was able to put this book down, but wanted to pick it up again. It wasn’t amazing and make me feel everything or cry. But it was cute. Overall a good book and hopefully good series.

Couldn’t even finish, main character annoyed me too much. I found the amount of “I’m ugly” & “I’m undateable” blah blah blah, way too much. It should of been toned down a lot.

Loved this book! Avery Flynn doesn't hold back on the honesty and the truth about how Gina is bullied or sees herself it's heart wrenching. But Ford's love for her is so beautiful. I highley recommend this book!
Super adorable! Read it in one sitting and TBH I’ve never read a romantic comedy where the main character was “ugly”. It was a refreshing change of pace and I love Avery Flynn’s Ice Hockey series so this was a no-brainer!
Sweet and unique
I applaud Avery Flynn for the Hartigan series and for giving some not-so-perfect leading ladies the chance to shine. Butterface is a good start to the series as we meet Ford Hartigan and his love interest Gina. It wasn't quite as funny as I thought it would be and unfortunately was a tad predictable in terms of the plot... but overall a good read and one I would still recommend.

I enjoy Flynn’s writing and the Hartigan family a lot! Good friends. Hilarious paint and sip. Home renovations.
Dead body in the attic. A LOT of society being shitty about women’s appearance. Lots of names and shitty remarks. I get that was the premise of the book, but it was first jarring and then very redundant. ACAB.

Ford and Gina
There are lot of things to like about this book. Gina is great and I loved her relationship with her family. At some points I was doubting she could be happy with a cop…more especially this cop, but it worked out in the end. Gina has some body hate issues, but I liked how it was handled.
A fast, sweet read with small town vibes.
