I really wanted to see the guy who betrayed her back in high school to get what he deserves, but otherwise, I loved it. I especially love the supportive family and friends.
It’s not often that a blurb grabs me as intensely as this one did. Of course, bullying and body shaming tend to be soapbox subjects for me, so I probably shouldn’t have been surprised. Still, when I read it, I kind of expected a ‘Never Been Kissed’ knock off storyline, and I was thrilled that it really was nothing of the sort!
I loved how real Gina was. She's so relatable as a character, and I was just cheering for her from the first kiss on the Kiss Cam. Ford was kind of like a bumbling fool when it came to his feelings for Gina, and that made him rather endearing. Their chemistry was hot, their banter witty, and their mutual awkwardness made me absolutely fall in love with them. They both have crazy families, which just adds a whole lot of laughs to this story. I would just have liked to see a little more personality or some concrete reason why Ford fell so hard for her, but as it was, I found it fairly believable.
Bottom line? I loved the message that the right person will find you gorgeous just the way you are! No need for makeovers. No fakes. No pretenses. Just YOU are enough.
