Not my favourite Agatha Christie - actually probably one of my least favourites!  I just don’t like any of the characters which makes it really hard to like the book.  It’s a reasonable mystery but that still makes it better than a lot of other books.

The main reason for the low rating was is the amount of misogyny in this and how much it annoyed me as a 'modern' reader. It was a good mystery though, didn't figure out who did it until Poirot revealed it at the end.

Absolute trash. There is too much wrong with this book and I'm too angry to write about it all, just to give you a taste of the kind of bullshit you can expect : A jealous man tries to MURDER his ex-fiance because she wants to marry someone else and somehow dear Agatha excuses this behaviour as him being in a silly goofy mood and it's her fault for wanting to leave him in the first place, oh and ofc she gets back with him because silly women don't actually know what they want.
