Way funnier than I expected! Really enjoyed it. Listened to it as an audiobook on a long drive, which I think was a good way to do it. I might not have gotten as into it if I stretched it out over a longer period of time.

I am 65. Rather literate. HOW did I miss this earlier? WHY did I grab it now, at this  crazy political moment in US history, with some life experience, etc? Oh my. Shocked to find that the opening AND closing lines are oft repeated. No idea of their origin. Paced as action movies, which I love. Wow.

Charles Dickens has the ability of putting together some of the most beautiful sentences that I have ever read. I felt like the book meandered a bit towards the middle, but the ending was beautiful. It made me cry even though I saw it coming, that last page is one that I will read again and again for the rest of my life.
