As soon as Juliet was introduced at the end of the last book, I could not wait to listen to this one.

This is my favorite of the series so far. I absolutely adored Sawyer and Juliet. I also laughed so much listening to this one I had tears in my eyes. Sawyer and Juliet had a lot in common and were a great fit for each other. Juliet has a lot of fears related to an accident when she was young as does Sawyer from the circumstances of the death of his best friend. Their “What if?” And “yeah, but…” scenarios were hilarious. Interestingly while it sometimes spiraled to the ridiculous - they seemed to know when to reign the other in.

I loved that these two got to spend a lot of time together really getting to know each other. Definitely an HFN as the book ends just a few weeks after they meet - yet it’s easy to see they’ll be awesome together. While I’m looking forward to Chase getting his own book, I’m so excited to dive into Kennedy & Bennett’s book next, Crazy Rich Cajuns.

Narration:
While I would have liked a little more southern drawl like the first book - I really enjoyed Gregory Salinas and Ramona Master’s narration. Salinas as Sawyer and Master as Juliet were perfect casting. They were both a great fit for their characters’ personalities and kept everything smooth and consistent. Such a delightful listen.

The Boys of the Bayou just keep getting better and better!! Sawyer Landry is the best Landry yet!

The grouchy, grumpy, overly cautious Sawyer has been thorn in his family's side for months now. While they've given him room to heal both physically and emotionally from the tragic death of one of their own, Sawyer just hasn't seem to recovered like the rest of the family. Scaring customers with his overly cautious and protective attitude who are there for a good time, not to mention his grouchy demniour doesn't exactly help bring back repeat business. His family is worried that Sawyer may never return to his former easy-going self and so didn't exactly inform him when a sexy beauty suddenly showed up one early one morning to help.

When Juliet's brother, Chase, destroyed one of the Laundry's docks in a stupid juvenile act of destruction, Juliet offered up their hands-on service to make things right. Not because she was an expert in building docks, instead she was hoping Chase would learn some respect and less "entitled" behavior from fixing his own mistake. She was there to make sure he did it right because she was nothing if not efficient, safe, and extremely organized. Growing up in an environment where she had to be prepared for "what-if's" at all times, Juliet is the queen of being over-the-top cautious and she just might be exactly what Sawyer needs even if he isn't aware of it, yet.

When Sawyer first saw Juliet Dawson on his dock wearing a hard hat, a lifejacket, and waders he was instantly curious, and aroused. He never in his life would have thought safety gear would have been arousing, but he also never met someone like Juliet. She turned his world upside down along with his frown. He found himself smiling for the first time in months and she was the reason. The more time he spent with her, the more he found the old Sawyer. Could Juliet be the cure to unlocking the gloom that has surrounded him for months?

While Juliet never would have found herself near water before volunteering to help her brother to fix his mistake, she does enjoy the camaraderie with the Landry's that she's never found anywhere else. She could easily see herself staying there, if only her life wasn't elsewhere, and far away from water and the dangers of the bayou.

Beauty and the Bayou is funny, heartwarming, loving, beautifully naughty, and healing. This is the best bayou story yet!

Beauty and the Bayou
Boys of the Bayou #3
by Erin Nicholas
Narrated by Gregory Salinas & Ramona Master

These Boys of the Bayou have my attention! I think no matter where you come from, if you met one of the Landry men, you too would be hooked. There is just something about them! This story spotlights Sawyer and Juliet. Sawyer bumps into Juliet at the docks wondering what a woman like her is doing. When he finds out her brother is the one that stole their boat and hit the dock and she wants him to fix it, all bets are off! Nothing is going to stop Juliet from teaching her brother responsibility. But will Sawyer be able to deal with her? Fun from the start, this story packed a good loving punch! The chemistry off the charts, it's obvious how much these two have in common! Juliet is quite the woman, facing fears and watching out for her brother. Sawyer, still dealing with Tommy's death is fearful, trying to keep all his loved ones safe. Can these two find a happy medium? I am laughing with the outfits Juliet is wearing and loving Sawyer's thawing emotions. It's a funny listen, yet it holds a real emotional story. These two are made for each other and it's quite the ride to get them there. Love this series. Keep them coming Erin!

Each brother has such a distinct personality and the narrator casting has been spot on. Gregory Salinas as Sawyer comes through with a charisma like no other narrator has. But Salinas is able to add that lingering fear Sawyer feels into his voice. Fantastic! Ramona Master compliments him with a portrayal of Juliet. Loving fiercely, confident yet scared, it all comes out in her voice. This is a fabulous team and their performance enhanced the story greatly!

This book just made my heart happy.

After meeting Sawyer in book one, then seeing more Sawyer and his struggles in book two - I was so excited to get Sawyer's book. Sawyer has a deep, sad history - where he's experienced a significant trauma. He's been trying to deal with it on his own, and maybe not in the best of ways.

Juliet has also had some significant trauma in her past and has been dealing with it on her own as well. They both have their issues, but when they get together - they provide each other with enough support and encouragement, that they are both able to thrive from their pasts. The way Juliet supported Sawyer with her body language or little touches, just made me swoon. The fact that Sawyer could read through those little things and see what she was trying to do for him, was perfect!

These two are literally two halves of a whole. They work and are meant to be together. They compliment and make each other so much better!

I love this series and these characters. I love the witty banter, side stories, the chaos that is the Bayou and all that comes with it. I can't recommend this fun series enough!

I really wish I could give this book more than 5 stars!!!

I love everything Erin Nicholas writes but this book has to be my favorite of all time. The chemistry between Sawyer and Juliet is off the charts. But even more, is the way that they just get each other; quirks, fears, what-ifs and Yeah-but’s.

It’s a wonderful story that shows there really is a perfect match for everyone. And in the words of a very wise 9-year old boy, Everyone needs someone to balance them out.

This was such a great read! The writing flowed well from start to finish, and Sawyer and Juliet's chemistry was hot! I loved Sawyer. I knew that he was having problems from the previous book. He was hurting more than I thought, though. He was a great man, and even though Chase and Juliet were there under not the best circumstances, he welcomed them both. As did his family. I loved that Juliet and Sawyer were such a good match for each other. Juliet had her problems as well, but it was great seeing them realize that whatever happens, they have each other to help through the tough times. The Landry's are the best! I love all the secondary characters in these stories, and it makes me want to visit LA for a Bayou Boys tour! I CAN'T wait for Kennedy's book :)
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

After some issues with getting the right file from Amazon, the author kindly helped me get the right file and read this wonderful book. This is yet another wonderful trip to the bayou without having to deal with the humidity. But you also don't get to eat the wonderful food of the bayou. Hmmmm ......

I really enjoyed Juliet and Sawyer's story. It was sweet and fun and so cute to see two quirky people find their match.
