Although I found the book to be dragging, and it took me a great deal of time to complete (I kept putting it down to read others) I found the final chapters (last 100-150 pages) to be the most interesting and was completely engaged. I enjoyed the way the story changed. It wasn't a simple journey at all. It was long, violent, complicated, painful, and the plans kept changing based on obstacles.

What a great adventure with lessons to be learned. The only thing that kept it from that 5th star was that at times the writing was a little confusing to me. I wasn’t sure who was winning the battle - which side was which. So it’s probably more of a case of “it’s not the book, it’s the reader”.
