Hmm. Couldn’t quite place this… I needed to know the mystery but when I did it almost didn’t matter at all.

The story was engaging and definitely makes you feel discomforted. The characters are unique and abrasive but also somewhat lovable. 

This book was recommended by a friend and I didn’t realize it was by the same author as The Lottery. So I didn’t quite understand the theme/purpose of the book until I read the afterword.
