To be honest, it only just scraped three stars... not much else to say. Back to the main series, I find it much more reliably enjoyable.

What an odd end to this series. Overall, it had its charms, but I just never got into the Jack of Fables stories nearly as much as I did the main Fables series. Quite an ending -- Shakespearean indeed.

An admirable end. It's just sad the series had nowhere to go after The Literals.

This was the last of the "Jack of Fables" spin-off GN series. I found the ending to be anti-climactic. It seemed as if the whole story line was over too fast. All of the build up from the last 8 GNs was lost on the wrap-up and ending.

Meh? I guess the ending was about what I thought it would be. Not bad, funny jokes, nothing spectacular.

The final Jack of Fables stories starts with the unfortunate return of the Paige sisters, the big breasted warrior librarians who are still hunting for the original books of fables. We then go through the small pieces with the remaining characters - Jack of Fables (still a dragon)and the long-suffering Gary, who keeps getting his wives devoured by Jack; Jack Frost and his wooden owl Macduff; Wicked John, who has spent several years with Excalibur stuck in him (long story), and Babe the miniaturized blue ox.
In the end, pretty much everyone dies, which is just as well, as I am tired of this story. Unfortunately, Jack of Fables seems to still be wandering the land as a ghost, so we may have to put up with him again.
All told, the series has been a major disappointment, and has served to drag down my interest in the original Fables story.
