Good lord, I don't usually write reviews or opinions, but I feel compelled here. McCarthy spins a story that is boring and bleak to no end, seemingly just for the sake of being bory and bleak to no end. Most evidently find this to be poignant, I find it pretentious.

That being said, I could only muster about 40 of the just-over 200 pages before I called it quits. So take from this as you will. Other reviews bring this point across much better than I could ever do.

Probably the best book I don't think I'll ever read again. Poetry from start to finish, but unbearably bleak.
