me: huh, this was i wonder if some if this wording/bioessentialism is dogwhistles or ignorance or just that the focus is on oppressed afab people?
federici, who wrote an entire book about how trans people help capitalism apparently: (:

real talk, it was interesting though more surface level than i wanted and i find the way white feminist authors represent women's issues internationally to generally have white savior energy but the good points were hard to focus on or exalt now that i know where these lines of thought brought her with regards to trans people in 2020.

Federici has made some very interesting connections between the formation of capitalism and the witch hunts. I especially liked the essay on gossip. However, I feel as though I should have read Caliban and the Witch first, as I feel I was lacking some context and depth in certain areas. Nevertheless, this was an informative and interesting read.
