I really enjoyed the audiobook for this friends to lovers romance. It was simple, sweet, and it put a smile on my face.

What a great start

I wasn't sure where the Man of the Month tied in but now I'm smirking at the fun. With 11 months left, I know this town is in for lots of romance.

Sweet and sexy friends turned more, Down on Me gives Reece the coveted spot...Mr. January.

This was a good start to the series.

Jenna and Reece have been the best of friends for a long time. This is a really great love story. It shows that it is possible to go from being bestfriends to lovers. The characters made this book so enjoyable. The fact that they showed so much concern about what being more than friends would do to their friendship. They were also concerned with how their relationship would affect the relationship that they have with Brent. Before they started they were kind of like the Three Muskateers, but what would happen if they started dating.

This book was a very fun quick read. I really enjoyed that the book had just enough suspense, but not so much that you were left wondering if you really wanted to read the next. Infact the author did a great job setting it up for the next book. This book is great i that they have a common meeting hole, The Fix on Sixth bar. I like it when characters in a book have a common meeting place.

I will definately be recomending this book and the series to my friends and family.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

4ish stars.

Overall and surprising enough an enjoyable read. See spoiler for why it shouldn't have been.
I had a lot of fun with this book. It is upbeat with some angst but very entertaining.

Reece, Brent & Jenna have been best friends since childhood. Only 8 months ago things changed. Reece sees her for what she is. A beautiful woman. Not quite willing to take that step he lets it drop and she leaves the next day for LA.

Jenna has come back to Austin it didn't quite work out in LA. She comes home to her family. And to the attraction that she left behind for one of her best friends. They both notice that it has become awkward and that something has changed but they need time to come to terms with it. Once they do they are all in. A romance from friends to lovers. There is inner monologue of push and pull because the dynamic of their relationship has changed or will change which was somewhat repetitive.

Reece is a bit of an arse but he has good character development throughout the book. Although he is an arse I still really liked him. God knows why if I'm being honest.

Jenna is a strong and sassy heroine and she stands up for what she wants but she doesn't give Reece a chance an unfair ultimatium IMO.

With all books there is the buildup of the romance and then a spanner is thrown in the works. This spanner is slightly predictable but the grand gesture isn't too bad.

The setup of saving The Fix on sixth street which is their local hangout is interesting and a lot can be done with the series. I like the author's writing style it flows well and is easy to read. I don't know if I'd read any of the other series by this author.

I’ve signed up for all twelve books ambitious, right? So, fingers crossed peeps. In a way I’m glad that I have because the secondary characters here are amazing and I’m sure that they are going to get their books.

SpoilerA lot of you won't like the beginning of the book personally I think it could have been left out but what do I know? I am judging Reece though. There is a detailed scene of him having sex with o/w he was celibate for eight months and the day the heroine comes back he has the urge to fuck another woman? Not only that Jenna and the other woman meet and surprise effing surprise they know one another. Sometime throughout the book the o/w Make-up Meghan tells Jenna that they aren’t together that it was just a fling.

What do you do when you find yourself falling in love with your best friend...do you act on those feelings or do you fear losing the one constant in your life? Reese and Jenna not only fear hurting the ones they love but also fear that they will be left with nothing if they act on them. But with Jenna coming back to help them save their friends bar, the spark continue to fly and they have no choice but to act on them. But what they find is a love worth fighting for and in the end friendship and love intertwine for a beautiful story. This was the first in the Man of the Month series I once again, J.. Kenner does not disappoint. I cannot wait for a year filled with hot men and great romance.

Wow! What a wonderful first blog book to kick off the new year! I fell in love with Down on Me the more I read it and I just could not have had a better time lost within its pages. Ms. Kenner really knocked it out of the park with this one!

It would have been impossible to love Jenna more than Reece, but I did love her. She’s smart, sassy, and strong. Jenna is kind and she would do anything for the people she cares about. She has her vulnerabilities but she sticks to her guns and she’s just a lovely person with a great heart.

And Reece Walker - oh my gosh - that man is beyond swoon worthy! He is so sweet and possessive and completely devoted to Jenna. Reece stole my heart and melted it. He is an amazing hero and he just does and says things that will have you falling for him just as much as I did.

Down on Me was a fast read full of passion, heat, and heart. It captured my attention and refused to let it go. It was fun and light but with some heartache-y moments too. I could not get enough of it - Down on Me was such an excellent read. And I absolutely CANNOT wait until the next book or the rest of the Man of the Month series!

Down on Me is the first book in the series, it’s told from Reece and Jenna’s POV, and their happily-ever-after ending will put a huge grin on your face!
