The plot of this book is so good. However the curses and riddles were driving me crazy the whole time. There were some important parts that were really glossed over.

Very good! Definitely recommend!
It was excessively descriptive, but that seems to be her style. At least the word "thrumming" wasn't overused this time... :-)

My feelings about this book are kind of complicated. In terms of the actual plot and events that happen in the book, it felt stagnant. You could tell something big was coming the whole time, it just doesn’t happen in this book. But the romance. OMG. The romance was glorious. I loved seeing Wrath and Emilia tease each other and figure out their feelings. It was a really enjoyable read because most of it was about their relationship.

oooh... I'm not too happy about this.
Honestly, I'm such a big fan of Kerri's books, Kingdom of the Wicked was my nr1 read the year it was released and I was SO looking forward to this that maybe, just maybe, it is what let me down a bit.

It was way too much about relationships, too little mysterious stuff, witchcraft and anything else I loved about the first book.

I really hope this was just a "second book" thing and that the third book will blow me away again.

I think there is a lot of forced smut in this book and it loses the plot. But there's not enough spice to call this a spicy book. It's just a book with spice that doesn't have a lot of substance. It was also rather predictable, and I knew what was going to happen throughout most of it.

Review:
This book was described to me as “better than the first one” multiple times. And I agree, it was so entertaining!

But, his personality is barely there, I want more emotions
