I am very intrigued by the premise of this story. The members of HAVOC have a LOT to make up for with Bernie, and I look forward to seeing how it all unfolds.
I'm glad I read this book
So a few years ago when I was just listening to audiobooks I started this series. The female narrator was absolutely fantastic but the male narrator was not good at all. So I don't think I was as invested in the story as I am now reading it. I am glad I decided to come back and give this story a second chance because it was worth it.

Characters to sink your teeth into. I completely lost myself to this story. They have true depth and sass that last forever. Each page was a new adventure I didn’t want to end. Their struggle and angst felt real.

Such a slow Reverse Harem!!!! GAHHH! Not really feeling like a real Reverse Harem, in the beginning. This book was focused on Bernie & Victor in a way, and I guess the author made each book with a focus on each boy from the HAVOC group.
The idea of this book is interesting, except for the bullying, that part is kind of hard for me to get over it. When I first started this series I thought ok we will have five badass guys who bullied her BUT NOW THEY WANT TO BE NICE AND SHIT. But no, not really. In this first book, we get flashbacks from 2 years ago when the guys bullied her. Since I already read book 2 before I wrote this review, I think we will have flashbacks in each book, but I am not sure.
"If the love interests in this story want to win the main character over, they’ll have to earn it." this is from Author's Note. Well, I don't feel like they earn it at all, like they even tried! They keep things from her, not telling her everything, and really I, such a curious person, WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO ACCEPT IT.
Everything they did "good" in this book to earn Bernie was fucking her very well and getting her revenge. THAT AIN'T ENOUGH TO ERASE THE FKING BULLYING. At one point, after she sees all the crazy stuff they do, she even thinks she should THANK THEM because they went easy on her. GIRL WHAT???
ALSO, as I said, I don't feel this as a Reverse Harem yet. In this book yes she has sex with two guys, Victor and Hael, but it didn't give me the RH vibe at all more like a girl having fun with two guys. If I have to read all five books to get an RH feeling what's the point really?
Victor, the boss, is very possessive of Bernie, an alpha male character. I get it, I like it, but the way he acts like she is "his girl" not "their girl", I don't like that when I read RH. I like the whole "my girl" and possessive character but not in RH books.
I really hoped this series by [a:C.M. Stunich|6432984|C.M. Stunich|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1341149119p2/6432984.jpg] will be like Rock-Hard Beautiful series, which I loved with all my heart! Imagine my disappointment when I found out it's not.
So, yeah, meh, it was ok in the end, the idea and the sex scenes nice, but still, 70% of the time while I read it I didn't know how she could forgive them for what they did if they don't get on their fking knees and apologies and explain everything.

Would give a 3 1/2 star rating. The smut scenes were pretty good. The plot did seem to drag on a bit and get a little redundant. But overall, a pretty decent book for the beginning of a series.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I'm dying for the next one!
