Trust me - if you like dark romance and/or reverse harems, this is the book series for you. CM writes a lush and gritty crimelord/gangbanger novel set in a high school. This is not your average bully romance- these guys are dark and this series has all the triggers you could imagine. By book 4 and 5 there is so much smut and violence that it hit they hit the 5 star and 5 spice level for me. I’ve given this first book 5 stars as the series as a whole rocks. It’s a commitment to get through all five books but I loved them enough to binge them in one week. This series would make the best Netflix or HBO series!

I know when it takes me this long to get through a book the story or the characters haven’t pulled me in. I’ve read a lot of bully high school or college romance and this is missing something. I hate that I have to compare it to the other books I’ve read but it doesn’t seem to make me want to read. I’ll give book 2 a chance but if the 2nd book doesn’t get a higher rating than I’m leaving these on my TBR.

Oh. My. God.

I am obsessed with this book, I could not put it down and when I did it's all I could think about.

C.M. Stunich knows to write a good sex scene and make you feel for morally grey characters. What a journey this book was!

That cliffhanger... I need the sequel like yesterday!

** Full disclaimer, I did not appreciate the extreme bullying the boys put the main character through. That is the one part I did not like about this book, it is almost normalised or excused somehow. **

This was the first book I read from this author. I am instantly hooked. Victor, Oscar, Callum, Hael and Aaron (my order) are perfectly damaged and you can’t help but love and want them.

Bernie needs and deserves revenge. For so many wrong doings against her by many people, HAVOC included. Becoming a havoc girl is something she must do in order to achieve her vengeance.

The journey to revenge isn’t alway easy and we learn that first hand.

C.M. Stunich has a way with words that makes everything else around you fade away and you get lost in the story. You can’t ask for anything better.

I've never been a fan of "Bully" romances. Back when LJ Shen came out with "[b:Vicious|30839185|Vicious (Sinners of Saint, #1)|L.J. Shen|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1481945407l/30839185._SY75_.jpg|51437887]" & all my GR friends were having eye-gasms (& ear-gasms if you're into audiobooks) over it, I was sitting by myself in a corner thinking "I fucking hated it" (although I did end up enjoying the rest of the books in that series). So yeah, not a fan of big ole assholes, although sometimes it works. But this book came up as a suggestion & it was free (fuck yeah, Kindle Unlimited) & I figured, why not?

Surprisingly enough, it wasn't bad. Was it unrealistic as Hell? Yes it was. All the adults are either MIA or narcissistic pedophiles & all the kids were tatted up, doped up & making the adults piss themselves because of all of the havoc (tehehe). But...the plot was decent, the heroine wasn't incredibly TSTL (although maybe a bit dumb & lacking in self-esteem given her history with the heroes) & the sex scenes were pretty good when you don't think very hard about the fact that these are 17-year-old boys who apparently have huge muscles, even bigger cocks & impeccable stroke game. Also, the lack of diversity. HAVOC is a 5-person gang & every time a member was introduced, I eagerly read their descriptions, thinking "Yep, here's my sexy Latino/African-American/Asian hero" but nope, it's a bunch white boys wearing eyeliner, threatening frat bros with pocket knives. The disappointment is real. But other than that, it was decent.

What I'm saying is, I'll read the next book because a) it's probably gonna be free b) the first book didn't make me wanna break my Kindle in half c) it didn't take itself too seriously, which is a relief because hardcore angst is quite exhausting sometimes & d) maybe they'll start wearing condoms in book 2. There are so many things to look forward to & I'm here for it. None of the HAVOC dudes will ever attain Book Boyfriend status because they're fucking kids but still, I'm here for it.

Diabolical and intense. I'm still trying to figure out the backstory and reasons why the things happened in the past between all the characters. There is a lot at play here. It's apparent that the boys all have a thing for Their Havoc girl but I'm not sure this is going to be a true Reverse Harem because Vic doesn't seem to be the type to share.

It will be interesting to see where this goes next. The book ends on a whopper of a cliffhanger and the next book isn't out until next year.
