The cliff
Oh that cliff is killing me! I was dreading it because I knew it was coming but I dive headfirst off it anyway. This book was so good and has so much angst that you cannot put it down! Love love love!

HELLO, PRIME? ORIGINAL TV SERIES PLEASE!
Firstly, it's not fair how hard it was to pick a favorite this time. It was very difficult and the stress- just kidding, Callum is mine. I will fight.

I really hate that this is a series because I try to stay away from reading series because I’m a mood reader AND my attention span sucks.
This book was SO good though. Planning to dive into book two right away

This book had a bit of a slow start, but this is due to all of the characters and background information that had to be set up for this 5 book series. Once all of that information had been introduced, I quickly became addicted to finding out more about Havoc and all of their secrets. Told through Bernadette’s POV, this is a bully, why choose romance with quite a bit of violence thrown in as Havoc works to keep control and get vengeance against the people who have hurt Bernadette in the past. I am very excited to keep reading this series!
Going into a book with expectations never end well for me and as such I’m underwhelmed by this book so far.
Granted this is based on kids in high school so not sure how gritty or mature I was expecting but it was missing something. I felt like we didn’t learn much of anything about our characters nothing of depth about their lives. Even the rivalry with other schools felt like useless information in the plot.
This is book 1 so I was expecting more background, more flashbacks to when they were younger before the bullying & during. I expected to learn about each havoc boy .
I also wish Bernadette had a friend outside of the boys to confide in, yes we get to see her thoughts but it’s like she’s so alone & has nobody to confide in or have a sounding board.
The cliffhanger was weird to say the least & I mean I’m not overly excited to go to the next book but I want to know the resolution so I will continue on..

I was interested in this book when I first read the blurb. I was invested within the first couple chapters. This book has grabbed my whole attention and I am HOOKED! I dare say, Havoc at Prescott High might have just become my favorite C.M. Stunich book so far. Can't freaking wait until January.
I really liked the book, there were a lot of good parts to it. Like Callum and Aaron and even Hael.
I like my RH's to to come with conflict, and this checks that box...but maybe the conflict is too much for me.
CM says that Bernie will end up with at least 3 of the guys in the end (definition of RH after all) but I'm hoping this is a red herring and she ends up with all of them.
excited for the next book as this ended on a cliffy and I don't like unfinished business!

If this had been set in college, it would have been fine. And maybe I am biased after watching «Mike’s Mic Pretty Little Liars deepdive» (youtube) and having pointed out all the ages and how much inappropriate things happen.. but this is very extreme ln the dark-fhemes delartment. At the same time, it really never felt dark, just a lot of fighting and more fighting and beating up pedophiles.
I felt very eh to this. It was better than I expected, glad to see the bully-part of the relationship is just in flashbacks and not in the present.

A bully RH romance where we flash forward over the bullying. I'll prob try the next one even though I don't completely understand how she has loved a couple of these guys for years, I'm hoping for some good grovel in the next books. I do wish she didn't feel overwhelmed with gratitude that they didn't rape her.
