The author never visited the place (CA) this book is set for research or otherwise and it is very evident and extremely distracting. He was throwing around towns a 10 hour drive apart casually like they were next to each other. How can I read a book whose whole premise is based on inaccuracy? The writing style was also very disjointed and the characters had no personality traits other than generic, "I've been wronged."

I think he may be becoming my favorite author. This was so beautiful and heartbreaking.
